Most unsuccessful GoldMine implementations can be traced to a
lack of training and consistency.
A4 Solutions can show your GoldMine users how to get
the most value from GoldMine's power. Even "experienced" users
are often excited about improving their results. We often see
people who have been using GoldMine for years but don't understand
basic features like the Activity List.
We provide training according to your needs. If you just want a
paper tutorial, or a
computer-based training CD, we offer those.
Or, if you want
custom training
that is tailored specifically to
your company's needs, we can do that, too.

Prerequisites
Each student is expected to be familiar with Windows operation.
The training materials offered here will not teach you what an
"icon" is, or what "right-click" means. If you are not already
familiar with common Windows usage and terminology, you'll need to take
a basic Windows course before ordering the GoldMine training materials.
Levels of Training
We offer materials for three levels of training:
- Introductory
- Advanced
- System Administrator
The two primary reasons companies are not able to use GoldMine effectively are:
- They have no standard procedures, and since there are usually at least
three ways to accomplish every action, it becomes impossible for a workgroup
to cooperate.
- Staff turnover eliminates the trained users. Documentation is lost, and
new employees are not trained. The implementation reverts to case one above
and use becomes inconsistent.
Our custom training attempts to overcome these problems by designing a procedure
which fits the company objective, and by providing documentation so everyone can
read how to complete the procedure successfully. Then, when new staff members
are hired, they can be trained from a manual, rather than by word of mouth.
We also provide a Word document, so when you decide to change the procedure,
you can update the documentation.
For the best long-term results, A4 Solutions will help your company design
procedures, provide custom manuals, and train your staff on their own database.
We can even help design reports so management can judge whether or not users
are using the system effectively . Our process:
- Needs Analysis to understand your process and help you develop procedures.
- Design the quickest, most reliable method of achieving your goals using GoldMine.
- Document your procedures with a custom manual.
- Train your users in your own environment.
